Take Root
Welcome to Root Force, the action strategy reverse farming simulator. Rules The goal of the game is to take over and uproot all the crops in the farmyard. To do this you will need to manage your ever-expanding network of weeds, both above ground and below.
Gameplay occurs in turns of three phases, morning, afternoon, and evening. Between phases, the sunlight beats down and enemy crops will try to reclaim what you have taken. And at night the plants lie dormant, and you are one day closer to the day of harvest.
Energy: Gain energy from sunny days equal to the number of tiles you control above ground. Gain energy from rainy days with any tiles you control below ground. Use energy gathered at the start of each phase to carry out actions with your network of plants above ground and roots below.
Actions: Above ground, your weeds can Spread to invade all neighboring tiles, but be careful not to overreach yourself! This new growth does not have roots, and is susceptible to the burning heat of the sun between phases. Below ground your roots can Grow into nearby unoccupied spaces or Attack neighboring enemy tiles. Lastly, use Sprout and Take Root to claim the tile above or below, respectively. All actions are resolved by way of rolling sets of dice of various values.
